Winter in Wyoming

A couple of days after Christmas we ventured up to Casper mountain for some sledding, snowshoeing and exploring.

Blake convinced Daisy to jump on board for a ride on the sled. She bailed off the first opportunity she had and ran away as fast as she could. One ride was apparently enough for her.

Jessi and Barney were ready for a nap, but Pete and Aly were just getting getting started.

We found this magical winterland tucked back in a little valley of trees. The first time around we didn't have a camera but it was so beautiful that Aly and I left the others in the truck and we went back by ourselves to take some pictures. The kids said it reminded them of Narnia.

Aly blended in with the snow-drenched trees in her new Christmas coat.

Pete took this snapshot of the girls, Barney, and me at the end of our adventure. Days like this make winter in Wyoming bearable.
